The Bhutan Motorbike expedition will enrich the enjoyment of nature’s beauty inside you. On the way, you visit places like Siliguri, Phuentsholing, Paro, Thimphu and many more. Three days will be given to you to take a break and explore some new destinations in Bhutan. Taktsang Monastery in Paro and DrukgyelDzong are the two most famous places to visit.
Once in Thimphu, also attract the visitors with it’s natural memorizing beauty. This Bhutan motorbike tour will take ride it’s way through the amazing mountains and coniferous backwoods which are best for the photography Bhutan also has few districts with enriched historical background. .
All over this ride you will have a lifetime experience of nature’s beauty, it’s mountains, passes, green backwoods and history will make you spellbound.
We start the tour from Bagdogra, West Bengal and end in Bagdogra.
You can either fly into Bagdogra from most cities of India or take a train till New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal.
You may choose to go on our fixed departure tours OR if, you are group of eight (8) or more friends then we can do a custom tailor made tour for you as well, the dates for which can be at your convenience.
If you have your own motorbike then it’s recommended to courier it to Bagdogra (address will be provided) using the logistics services company (GATI KWE), they take about 10 – 12 days to ship to Bagdogra from almost anywhere in India.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT BAGDOGRA AND DRIVE TO PHUENTSHOLING - 150 KM, 4 HOURS
Ride through lovely foothills, meandering rivers and huge tea plantations.
Cross over into The Land of Thunder Dragon, Phuentsholing city, Bhutan.

DAY 2: PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU- 160 KM, 4 TO 5 HOURS
After Breakfast at the hotel, we ride to the CAPITAL Thimphu.
We head to get our Visas and road permits extended.
We then ride to the best viewpoint in the Thimphu valley - the Buddha Point (Kuenselphodrang). It is a short ride from the town. You can pay your obeisance and offer prayers to the Buddha, the largest statue in the world and then walk around and have a glimpse of the valley.
Evening free for local sightseeing in Thimpu – Dzong / Museum/ River/ Palace etc.

DAY 3: THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA– 85 KM – 2 HOURS 30 MIN.
After breakfast, we proceed with our ride towards Punakha crossing Dochula Pass.
On coming to Lobesa Village we stop for lunch. One can go on a short climb to ChimiLhakhang.It’s a religious community called "Sanctuary of Fertility" too.
After lunch, we will proceed with our ride and reach Punakha before sunset.

DAY 4: PUNAKHA TO PARO– 126 KM – 3 HOURS 25 MIN.
Today after breakfast, you will ride to Paro. Evening free for local sightseeing in Paro – Dzong/ National Museum/ River etc.

DAY 5: SIGHTSEEING AROUND PARO
Rest day at Paro
After a hearty breakfast, set out for the majestic and oh so beautiful TaktsangDzong or Tiger’s Nest Monastery. It’s a 2.5-hour hike up & 1.5-hour hike back to the road head.
The name Taktsang means Tiger's Nest, the legend has it that Guru Padmasambhava, believed as the second Buddha or Precious Teacher flew to the site of the monastery on the back of a tigress and then meditated there in the cave for three months.
The main building of the monastery was destroyed by fire on 19th April 1998 and the Bhutan Government had re-constructed it in the original form.
Post coming back, to soothe our tired leg muscles, we go for a Hot Stone Bath Therapy at a friend’s Farm House.
Evening free for local sightseeing/ stroll in the bazaar.

DAY 6: PARO TO BAGDOGRA – 305 KM – 7 HOURS 18 MIN.
Today, after registration from the hotel, you will drive back to Bagdogra. Today, be prepared for the longest ride of the tour.
